Jeudi matin, sur Europe 1, notre chroniqueur Charles DĂ©cant rĂ©vĂšle les premiĂšres informations d'une saison 2 trĂšs retour de Why Women Kill va en surprendre plus d'un. On savait dĂ©jĂ  qu’une saison 2 avait Ă©tĂ© commandĂ©e pour la sĂ©rie de Marc Cherry, le crĂ©ateur de Desperate Housewives. Mais on en sait enfin un peu plus sur le contenu de cette saison 2, qui n’aura aucun lien avec la premiĂšre. Nouveaux acteurs et nouveaux personnagesC'est ce que l'on appelle une anthologie chaque saison offre des personnages diffĂ©rents et l'intrigue n'a rien Ă  voir avec la saison prĂ©cĂ©dente. Pas de traces de Lucy Liu ou Ginnifer Goodwin au gĂ©nĂ©rique, pas non plus d’intrigues qui se dĂ©rouleront Ă  trois Ă©poques diffĂ©rentes. La CBS a annoncĂ© d'ores et dĂ©jĂ  deux nouveau acteurs la comĂ©dienne Allison Tolman, la star de la sĂ©rie Emergence sur TF1 et Good Girls sur Netflix mais aussi Nick Frost, qui a notamment jouĂ© aux cĂŽtĂ© de Kristen Stewart dans le film Blanche Neige. Par ailleurs, M6 Alma doesn't want to believe that Bertram has a secret. He's the kindest man she ever met, which she learned the night Tom Madison broke her heart. He wonders if she cares if Carlo lives or dies. Carlo's daughter, Catherine, is there to irritate Rita. The family trust reveals that she's in charge of Carlo's medical decisions. She's taking Carlo back to Texas. Scooter visits Dee at the diner, and Vern arrives. She recognizes him and tells him she saw him last night. Dee stands up for Scooter as good people when the guy says he humiliates her, and then he sees Scooter looking at himself in a napkin holder. Alma went into town to learn about her husband's collection. She visits Maisie to discover her dead on the couch. Maisie looks peaceful, but she was anything but when she died. Alma finds the outline of the fan on the wall. Grace visits the vet, and she gives Bertram chocolates for returning the broach. Bertram rushes home in quite a state. Alma awaits him on the stairs. They need to talk. Alma confronts him and begs for him to tell her something, which he ultimately admits. Even when he says it, Alma cannot believe it. They clearly have a difference of opinion as to whether he's been helpful. She's distraught, and when he offers her a sedative, she flees. He tries to explain that he eases lonely, sick people out of life to help them. The first person begged him to do it. Her peaceful face afterward turned into a calling. Alma doesn't hear him, though, as she's jumping out of the window in front of Mrs. Yost. Rita asks Scooter to move in with him. She wants him to say he's her chauffeur. She brings up the cleaning lady in reference to his pigsty of an apartment. In light of that, he suggests they leave things as they are. He wants her as his lover, not his boss—millions of dollars and financing a film starring her former chauffeur changes his mind. Rita sees Alma in the street. Grace went on and on about Alma, and she wants to nominate her for the spot in the club. When Rita says they can't admit someone whose husband might be arrested to avoid public scandal, Alma's determination to turn in Bertram subsides. Rita's maid warns her against admitting Scooter to her home. As she prepares to greet Scooter, she finds Catherine and Carlo. As Catherine questions her fidelity, Scooter yoo hoos her from the hallway and ushers him out of the house. Catherine is going to search for a reason for papa to divorce Rita. She doesn't need Carlo's money, but she wants to take it away from Rita. Carlo sees Rita kissing Scooter through the window. Alma visits Dee at the diner, wondering if she might be able to stay with a friend for the night to deal with a matter with her father. Alma says there was another woman. Dee says all of the right things, and Alma tells her how proud she is of the woman Dee has become. Catherine is going to the drug store, and she wants Rita to bathe Carlo. She purposely makes his bath colder. She lived up to her end of their marriage bargain, and it's his turn to do his part. She wants someone to give it to while she's still young. Please, die for Rita, she says. But it turns out that Catherine left the pills in the car and returns early. The water is scalding, not cold, but she drained enough before Catherine returned. Dee calls Bertram to say that she was asked to spend the night somewhere else. She's so disappointed in him for seeing another woman. Bertram pulls out his kill kit and writes a suicide note. Dee needs to spend the night with Scooter, but he won't let her in, worrying about a tail. So much for being the good guy. Vern sees her in the rain, and he asks if she needs a lift. She realizes that he's been following her, and he's a gumshoe. She gets in the car, and he'll take her to a motel. Alma arrives home in the rain and stands in her garden, soaking wet, while Mrs. Yost looks on. She walks in on Bertram's suicide. The vial will make it seem like he died of a heart attack, and he directs her to ensure everyone thinks of it that way. Mrs. Yost watches them from across the yard and sneaks up behind the window as Alma demands that Bertram promises never to kill ever again. He mumbles appropriately, and she tosses the item into the trash, which Mrs. Yost hears are murder souvenirs. She digs through the trash. Mrs. Yost decides to climb the trellis to listen some more. Alma slams the window shut on Mrs. Yost's fingers, and she falls back on the shears she had placed upright in the yard. She's dead, and she cannot have that kind of scrutiny on her home. Alma decides to bury her in the front yard as Bertram argues over choices.

Un programme fort sympathique en dix Ă©pisodes qui suivait les aventures de trois femmes, Ă  trois Ă©poques diffĂ©rentes, avec des problĂšmes en tout genre mais ayant toutes vĂ©cues dans la mĂȘme maison. On retrouvait ainsi Beth-Ann dans les annĂ©es 60 interprĂ©tĂ©e par Ginnifer Goodwin dĂ©jĂ  vue dans Once Upon A Time, Simone Grove dans les annĂ©es 80 jouĂ©e par la lĂ©gendaire Lucy Liu et Taylor Harding Ă  notre Ă©poque jouĂ©e par Kirby Howell-Baptiste. Un casting et des intrigues aux petits oignons qui n’étaient pas sans rappeler ceux du cĂ©lĂšbre programme ayant rendu mondialement cĂ©lĂšbre Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman et Marcia Cross. Connu pour mettre en avant des rĂŽles de femmes fortes et audacieuses, le rĂ©alisateur ne manquait pas Ă  sa rĂ©putation avec cette nouvelle sĂ©rie. Bref, on avait tout de suite accrochĂ© ! Alors qu’une deuxiĂšme saison Ă©tait attendue pour 2021 aux Etats-Unis, Canal+ vient tout juste de diffuser les premiers Ă©pisodes du deuxiĂšme chapitre de Why Women Kill. La chaĂźne M6 devrait ĂȘtre la prochaine. Cette fois, c’est avec un scĂ©nario totalement diffĂ©rent et de nouveaux acteurs que le cĂ©lĂšbre rĂ©alisateur a dĂ©cidĂ© de se lancer dans cette aventure. Un choix audacieux qui aurait pu nous effrayer mais qui s’avĂšre finalement extrĂȘmement judicieux. C’est donc avec le plus plaisir que l’on se plonge, en 1949, dans la vie d’Alma Fillcot, une femme au foyer banale qui souhaiterait ĂȘtre moins timide et pouvoir se faire plus d’amies. Quand une place se libĂšre au club de jardinage frĂ©quentĂ© par des femmes riches et chics, Alma y voit l’occasion parfaite pour socialiser. Seulement voilĂ , il n’est pas si simple de s’introduire dans ce genre de groupe lorsqu’on n’a ni l’argent ni l’apparence pour y prĂ©tendre. Qu’à cela ne tienne, l’épouse du vĂ©tĂ©rinaire du coin Ă  l’allure terne et Ă  la mine triste va littĂ©ralement se transformer en bourgeoise toute apprĂȘtĂ©e.
